What is this Masterclass about?
Our solar system is a tightly bonded family of 9 for the last 4.7 billion years. The first image that comes on our mind is that of the concentric circles around the Sun. Amusingly, all on the same sheet of paper in your textbook. You know the Solar system is huge, but how much? This workshop will probably be the first of its kind ever to give you a perspective of the size of our Mighty solar system. You will be amazed to learn the relative sizes of the objects in our solar system and how vast they are distributed in space. So, Are you ready?

The students get to create a scaled down model of the solar system using household items

Students understand the relative sizes of planets in our solar system, units of measurements and get an intuitive feel of distances and get to wonder with no boundaries.
How do I prepare for this Masterclass?

4. 10-12 sheets of blank A4 paper
5.15 cm ruler
6. A calculator
7. A compass set.
8. Identify all the spherical objects around your house.
